This wasn’t just a wedding performance—it was a reminder that the greatest magic happens when we step outside our comfort zone.
For several weeks, I had the privilege of coaching and mentoring this incredible bride and groom as they learnt the art of illusion for their special day. Together, we choreographed a magical “magic-off” where they playfully challenged each other before building to one unforgettable finale.
A handmade origami rose…
A rose floating through the air…
A rose consumed by flame…
And from the ashes… a real rose, presented to his beautiful bride.
Watching their family and friends erupt with amazement, applause and a standing ovation was incredibly rewarding. They didn’t just perform an illusion—they proved that with commitment, practice, and belief in yourself, you can achieve things you once thought were impossible.
As their mentor, moments like these remind me why I love teaching magic. I’ve been fortunate to coach children, adults and couples to create unforgettable memories, but seeing this vision come to life on their wedding day will always be one I’ll treasure.
